There is something special about sharing a great golf experience with people you might never otherwise have met.

That is very much the idea behind MasterGolf Events.

Come on your own, travel as a couple or bring a group of friends — everyone is equally welcome. Once we meet on the first tee, golf does what golf has always done so well: it brings people together. Different nationalities, different backgrounds and different walks of life, but with one obvious thing in common.

These are not fiercely competitive tournaments. Yes, we keep score. There are prizes to play for and a little friendly rivalry along the way. But the real purpose is to enjoy great golf, beautiful surroundings and good company.

A MasterGolf event is as much about what happens around the golf as the golf itself. A drink and a laugh at the 19th hole. Dinner together after the round. A prize-giving where the stories are usually more important than the scores. Catching up with old friends and making new ones.

Some guests arrive already knowing half the group. Others arrive knowing nobody at all. By the end of the week, that distinction tends to matter considerably less.

I host every event personally and try to create exactly the atmosphere I would want from a golf trip myself: relaxed, welcoming and well organised, with great courses and enough structure to bring everyone together — but never so much that it stops feeling like a holiday.

Great golf is the reason we meet.
